Lagoon – Wet Cleaning System
Electrolux’s Lagoon wet cleaning system is the first and only professional system which is approved by The Woolmark Company, the world’s leading name in wool textiles, the Lagoon trademark is unique to Electrolux.
Lagoon is an integrated system including cleaning, drying and finishing using water as natural solvent, ensuring a surprisingly effective, ecological and economical clean.
Unlike dry cleaning equipment Lagoon uses water as a natural solvent and it eliminates dry stains, undesirable smells and leaves clothes and garments beautifully clean and fresh.
The Lagoon wet cleaning system also gets rid of greasy and non-greasy dirt and allows fibres to recover their original softness and it restores the purity of whites and brightness of colours which can be dulled by successive dry cleaning processes; clothes recover their original softness and flexibility.

Lagoon can process even fabrics so far by tradition solely domain of dry-cleaning. Special biodegradable detergents and recyclable machine components are essential part of a complete package.
The specific detergents used in the wet cleaning system are adapted to natural fibres they will protect them from deformation.
Then it is just a matter of adding the correct amount of biodegradable detergent, along with a gentle mechanical action over the optimal period of time.
As a result water is able to naturally remove stains and transport dirt to the waste pipe.
The end result is a fresh smell of cleanliness, a soft touch of fabric, brilliant whites and bright colours.
To acquire the Lagoon system you would need to purchase a washer and dryer which have been specifically designed for the cleaning and drying of wool, as well as special washing products, finishing agents and equipment.
Professional training is given to ensure that your site is in the forefront of wet cleaning.
If, however you cannot afford to purchase the whole Lagoon concept you will be able to use your existing finishing machinery in conjunction with an Electrolux washer and dryer but unfortunately your site would not have the Lagoon accreditation.
